Sandra Arenas Salazar
She graduated in Modern Languages and Literatures (English Literature) from UNAM with a thesis entitled ‘Nearly finished: the sound of the endless need to create in Samuel Beckett’s Cascando’.
Because of her musical background, her research interests are linked to sound, intermedia, art and comparative literature.
She has been a member of PoéticaSonoraMX since 2022, where she has been in charge of supporting research and editorial work for the website, as well as participating in the administration of the Digital Audio Repository. She was also in charge of editing the radio piece ‘Metadiario de Samuel Beckett: un collage de resonancias’, created collectively by PoéticaSonoraMX. This piece was selected to be broadcast on Radio Monteaudio in Uruguay, as part of the International 2023 Sound Festival ‘Forma y Sonido’.
She currently holds a scholarship as member of the ninth generation of the Composition Workshop (TCSACM) of the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico (SACM).
